PROBLEM

Pressure from work, family and daily responsibilities brings us stress everyday. Stress can lead to anxiety, depression, immune system disturbances and heart attacks.

SOLUTION

Provide an ambient environment, including soothing scent, noise free space and comforting lighting. It will bring calmness and relaxation after long day of work everyday. It will also create a distraction free environment that will increase productivity while working at home.

FINDINGS

(Sound) From my research, I found that by masking sudden or sporadic sound with consistent noise, we become less distracted or disturbed.

(Lighting) I found that people feel more comfortable and relaxed when there is ambient light present.

(Scent) Aromatherapy carries many benefits in term of wellness and stress relief.

∴ Based on my research and findings, I used Cinema4D to create the smart home device prototype. It consists of ambient lighting, scent, and noise canceling speaker.

BRANDING

Circle on the left of the logo mark represents the aerial view of OPTIMAURA device. And triangle on the right represent the 3 main elements (lighting, scent and sound).

USE CASES

Design an app that connects with Optimaura. The app should be able control lighting, sound and scent function of Optimaura. Goal is to provide an easy to use control platform.
